OLD AGE: The stage of being in a cage
“Age
will raise, Death will chase;
But our mind will gaze
In search of our childhood days”.
Old is
gold……………Ya! Somewhat true. The days that we missed will never come again. That’s
why each minute of our life is very precious. Live it to the fullest. We don’t
know what the coming hour is going to bring. Each second, each minute, each day
makes changes both physically and mentally.
Everyone has
day called ‘Birthday’. Some take this day as positive and enjoy it, because
they believe and thank god for adding one more number to their life. Whereas
some dislike this day reasoning that their age is increased and they are
turning old. So these types of reasons people have on their likes and dislikes
of their b’day. Yep……….one thing even I agree that is ‘OLD’…….no! No! I dislike
this word. Not only I but the whole universe. Actually what made people so
irritated in hearing this word?
When a child
becomes teen, he/she gets little hurt thinking about the lovely kindergarten
days, and from then when he/she turns to
elder, they feel that how nice was the teenage years , and from there when they
jump to old age the person can’t make himself convince that he is old. Till
today no man shows that he is old………if u doubt, see early morning, with 100%
assurance u will see more old people than young for jogging. They walk with
such strength that we recognize only their young & bold mind not their old
body. We recognize only their free wings. Now-a-days to hide their white hairs
they colour it to black. They may be weak by body and they may lack the fitness
which they had before. But their mind is fresh as before and will always be.
For example in our film industry legendries like Amitabh Bachhan, Dharmendar,
Rishi kapoor etc. still act in their 70s. Actually there is no need for them to
act since their children are doing their work. They can have a good rest. Does anyone
have thought about it? So i ‘ld say that these young old man do this to keep
alive their passion and also to keep their image young in front of the viewers.
Once a man
turns old, he is forced to be in home. Ya! It’s true that their children want
their old parents safe and secure. But are we doing right? Can’t we see their
emotional eyes? Can’t we feel their pain? Can’t we recognize their wish? Are we
failing them to give something or are we taking something from them? Think that
how they feel when they are kept inside in a cage. It’s like catching up a
flying bird and putting in cage. The people who worked a lot, who roamed about here
and there, who walked their life with free wings; don’t you think by putting
them inside the home, we are cutting out their wings? I believe that after
every man’s young age he/she becomes dependent on someone or the other. But
this doesn’t mean that they should dance as we wish. We should not take
advantage of them. We should respect their freedom and let them free.
